Have you seen the website,
teachparentstech.org? It's a pretty great website, run by Google, where you can send "tech support" to a parent... or to yourself! There are some basic categories that have simple video tutorials to do different tech things such as:
- The Basics
- World Wide Web
- Communication
- Media
- Finding Information
This is a great resource for you as well, just in case your friendly Building Technologist or Instructional Technology Coach is not around. Be sure to check it out... or send a "care package" to your loved one!
